Quest Wants to Know: How Will You Celebrate National Dance Day?!

So You Think You Can Dance executive producer Nigel Lythgoe has declared July 31 National Dance Day!

The goal of National Dance Day is for people of all backgrounds to come together through the creativity of dance. Through expression, we make connections and friendships and also promote health and wellness.

Our Quest dancers – Feng, Hirano, Hok, Ryan, Steve, Aris, Victor, and Lydia – are excited about this brand new opportunity and encourage all of YOU to get involved! Break out your best and most creative dance moves and capture them on video – while wearing your Quest gear, or repping Quest purple and black colors – and upload your video to Nigel’s Official Dizzy Feet Foundation’s Facebook wall! Soon after July 31st, Quest will review published video’s and choose their favorite to receive a personalized Quest prize!

What to do for the contest:

- wear your Official Quest Gear, or rep Quest purple/black colors

- record a video showing how dance inspires you

- upload your video and publish to the Dizzy Feet Foundation Facebook Wall

- the winner will be contacted via the Facebook account used to upload the video

- deadline for submissions is July 31, 2010

Quest Crew performed at The Big Groove on July 11, 2010 in Singapore. While in town, they were featured on Channel News Asia Primetime Morning Show on July 9! Ryan Conferido sat down for an interview to discuss dance, Quest Crew, and having a passion.

Asian Radio Power 98 FM Reviews The Big Groove!

Jerald Justin from Asian radio station Power 98 FM attended The Big Groove and has written a thrilling review of the event! The Big Groove is an Asian dance event, which Quest Crew performed, and was held by O School in Singapore on July 11, 2010.

Jerald had an amazing time and was particularly enamored with the performance by Quest -

… Besides the point, they were absolutely mindboggling-ly brilliant.

What I realized last night was that a good dance performance is very much like a great date.

Things that you don’t expect to happen actually happen. There’s humour, which makes you laugh and eases you into comfort. There are even particular moments that make you weak In the knees, takes your breath away, and opens up your eyes to entirely new horizons.

In particular last night was Quest Crew’s Encore performance and …

The entire review is heart warming and funny. What a pleasure to have made such an impression!

RYAN CONFERIDO’s Friends Shout Out HAPPY BIRTHDAY Greetings! – VIDEO

Ryan Conferido turned 27 on June 13, 2010 but he celebrated the special occasion on Tuesday, June 29 with his family and friends at Marbella in Hollywood.

It was an amazing night with some amazing people such as Ryan Higa, We Are Heroes, members of Poreotics, Nick Teti, with a special performance by Far East Movement, and the members of his Quest Family. Lydia Paek sang Happy Birthday to Ryan.

Pacific Rim Video Press covered the event and captured on video many of Ryan’s good friends offering sugar and spice with birthday greetings in between -

Monsters of Hip Hop ft. The Quest Crew!

11. Your face is definitely well known throughout the world right now. Have you had any crazy/wild fan encounters? Memorable requests? Interesting fan gifts?

Its always nice to have someone come up to you and say that they appreciate what you do. but as far as crazy fan encounters, every now and then ill get a phone call from an anonymous person, and thats always a little strange haha.

12. What are some of your inspirations for your songs/covers and your dance moves? What moves you to be creative?

When it comes to music, one of my early inspirations was Passion. hes actually now a good friend of mine, and we just performed in canada together. as far as dance, i love to get inspiration from any dancer that dancing with feeling. whether it be a power move, flip, or simply the way you carry yourself, i try to gain inspiration from everything.
