Dominic Sandoval recently participated in a charity golf tournament and Ann Spade v-logged the event. She caught Dom’s personality on camera as they traveled the course in the golf cart and as Dom attempted to play the course well. Being a charity event, it didn’t matter that he wasn’t helping his team much because he made sure everyone had a great time!

Ring Festival LA has featured the artwork of Hokuto Konishi, of Quest Crew, in their 2010 cross-cultural production event:

The Los Angeles Opera’s groundbreaking production of Richard Wagner’s Ring of the Nibelung in June 2010 has created a great opportunity. Between April 15 and June 30, 2010, the Los Angeles Region will celebrate this production by assembling Ring Festival LA, the most interdisciplinary, cross-cultural, collaborative artistic and cultural event to occur anywhere. We are bringing together a multitude of different companies, thinkers, curators and performers to program on themes related to the Ring. – RingFestivalLA

Hok’s artwork was showcased at the festival alongside many talented artists. It was a fun night!

May 3, 2010 – Quest Crew attended a celebrity filled event in support of character building in our schools. The 1st annual Party with a Purpose event launched the “Our Schools Matter” sponsorship program in the Every Monday Matters Foundation.

“Every Monday Matters started as a book written by Matthew Emerzian and Kelly Bozza. It has since turned into an international movement. The book, company, and foundation (a California-based 501c3) all communicate that it is the plain, simple, ordinary individual, either acting alone or together with others, who can change the world. People matter. YOU matter. There was even a painting station where  Hok Konishi took a moment to create a really cool pic, which you can see below!

Forest Whitaker, Garry Marshall, and Tia Carrere are just a few who also came to show their support. The event, held at Smashbox Studio’s in West Hollywood, was covered by CBS affiliate KCAL9 and was a huge success.

“Ready or not here I come,” Paek sung as she opens the final segment of the show, hosted by UA’s Asian Pacific American Student Affairs.

Kim and Paek are two members of the Asian American dance team, Quest Crew, the winners of America’s Best Dance Crew season three. The duo sang multiple songs and performed a freestyle break dance for the audience in the Social Sciences auditorium.
