Now if you remember last time I posted some of my beginning work.  It’s not my best, but we all have to start somewhere right?  This week I’m posting work I created after learning a few tips and tricks.  Hopefully you’ll enjoy them.  If not, thanks for checking them out anyway.

Ling Ling's mad

Ling Ling is a character from a show called Drawn Together.  It’s a very crude show, and I’m not sure if it’s still being produced but back when it started it had some good moments.  Ling Ling is a satire of Pikachu, obviously, but a much more violent version.  Here he is about to unleash some grandiose attack.

No Touchy, No Touch

I still beat myself up over this one because I spent quite a bit of time and after I clicked submit did I realize…I posted it on my own wall instead of my friend’s.  Oh well, now it’s here for all of you to see.

Downtown LA, sort of...

This is where I started getting fancy with the application.  This is downtown LA or at least it’s trying to be downtown LA.  I forget what happened but I remember drawing this twice.  I think the first time my computer overheated and died right when I was almost finished with it.  But this is where I started experimenting with the opacity of the colors and learning how to manipulate them to get some cool effects like in the background.

One fine looking machine

Can you guess what car this is?  Here’s a hint, logo is on the front.  What bothers me about this one is that the shadow gradient on the ground is all wrong.  I wish I could go back and just fix that part.  Oh well.  Like I said earlier, this is where I was really learning to draw graffiti.

Favorite Quest Crew dance move:
Well anything they do is incredible, but my favorite is the head spin on the piano.

If you could hang out with Quest Crew for a day, what would you do?
If we were in Slovenia I would take them on a trip to see the beautiful side of it, then I would take them to a classic restaurant to eat. Probably go to the centre in Ljubljana to see the famous bridge or we would go to the mall to buy them a souvenir as a memory that they spend a day in beautiful Slovenia. I would show them my home and my dance moves. That is all I can offer cause Slovenia is small and it doesn’t have a lot of places to go.

Which member are you most like?
I really don’t know, I mean I’m a little of them all, but the most I have to say D-trix. We both love freestyle, our inspiration is music, but i don’t like chitty chitty bang bang. I like a lot of music it really depend on the current mood.

Just like anything I had to learn where to start so I present my humble beginnings as a facebook graffiti artist.  I’ll even give a little description as I go along.

So when I first started out, I had to learn how to blend the colors.  Now this is actually pretty recent but it was a demo as to how the colors work together in facebook.

Nintendo Wiiiiii

So my first ever graffiti was in anticipation of the release of the Nintendo wii.  It’s pretty amateurish but bare with me, I did say these were my first graffiti drawings.  Everytime I look at this I think of the old viral video, “Nintendo Sixty Fooooouuuuurrrr!!”

UCLA Graduation 2007

So my next work of art was for my friend who was graduating from UCLA.  This was back in 2007.  Being an ‘SC alumn I was a little reluctant to do it, but I put my rivalry aside and drew a bruin in UCLA cap and gown colors.

Interesting side note, Facebook always suggests I tag my photos, especially this one.  It has some fancy pattern recognition deal so it thinks the bear is actually someones face and it asks me to tag it.  No thanks facebook, no thanks…

Totoro Family

I admit, I’m a fan of Miyazaki’s work and Studio Ghibli.  I’d like to visit the museum one day if I ever get the chance to go to Japan.  The little one was the easiest to draw.

It's a Prinny

This one I drew at Quest Learning Center.  At this point of my graffiti career Ryanimay and I were competing however briefly.  I felt I had to one up him by drawing an NPC from one of his favorite games.  Comment if you know which game the Prinnies are from!!
